Robert Kuebler

Obituary of Robert J. Kuebler

Robert, whom many knew as Bob, was a hard-working family man. Bob loved his 10 children and was extremely proud of each one. His love for his wife of 42 years, Virginia, was nothing short of eternal devotion. To Bob, family was his everything. Family reunions with all the grandchildren were a personal favorite. To provide for his family, Bob almost always worked two jobs as well as painting houses and selling Christmas Trees during the holidays to buy Christmas presents for his children. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to provide for his family. bob enjoyed the simpler things in life such as the pleasure of a good drink or meal. While working many hours, Bob always found time to enjoy family events and hobbies as he played just as hard as he worked. A favorite hobby for Bob was woodworking and attending Trade and Craft shows with his creations. Bob was also known for his mean grilling skills whether it was a leg of lamb, steaks, corn on the cob, or the large breakfasts he would make for his family. As a man of many talents, Bob would cut his children’s hair when they were young and draw attention from the neighborhood. Whether it was spending time with family, woodworking, celebrating his Irish heritage or partaking in Oktoberfest, Bob enjoyed every minute of it all. The biggest pride of Bob’s life, other than his wonderful family, was his connection to the Fire Department. Serving in the Buffalo Fire Department for 30+ Years, Bob was proud of his service to the community. After retiring in 1974, his pride continued and his legacy as a fine example of what a firefighter is remained. Out of all the jobs that Bob worked to provide and care for his family, firefighting was his proudest and favorite one. Kuebler, Robert on March 7, 2020.
